An Independence business was engulfed in a large fire Thursday night.
Firefighters were dispatched at 7:47 p.m. to a site at Truman Road and Hardy Avenue. It was a two-alarm fire, and many of the city’s fire crews were on the scene.
Firefighters got the fire under control despite being hampered by low water pressure in the area and concerns that the building contained a number of chemicals.
No one was injured in the fire.
