A Kansas City man was killed Friday night when his motorcycle collided with a car between Oak Grove and Lone Jack.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, Philip M. Pirnie was riding a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle north on Missouri F, about a half mile north of Cline Road, when he lost control of the motorcycle shortly before 8 p.m., crossed over the center line and struck a southbound 1995 Geo Metro driven by Douglas E. Smith of Clinton, Mo.
Pirnie was ejected and later pronounced dead at St. Mary's Hospital. Smith suffered minor injuries and refused treatment.
