The Jackson County Legislature met Monday, Nov. 3 2008, at the K.C. Legislative Assembly Area at the Kansas City Courthouse, 415 E. 12th St. in Kansas City.
Ordinances passed
- Transferring $17,256 within the 2008 General Fund and appropriating $103,105 from the fund balance of the 2008 Grant Fund in acceptance of a grant received by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office from the Missouri Department of Public Safety.
Resolutions passed
- Transferring $27,699 within the 2008 Anti Drug Sales Tax Fund to cover the costs of urinalysis and treatment services for Jackson County Drug Court clients.
- Authorizing the purchase of hand-held radios for use by the Drug Task Force to Motorola of Lee’s Summit under the terms and conditions set forth in Johnson County, Kan.
- Recognizing the tribute and thank you celebration, honoring all who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II and the Korean War.
- Congratulating Anthony’s Restaurant and Lounge upon its 30th anniversary.
