Independence police continue to search for three suspects in a triple homicide this morning in the 1500 block of Pope Avenue.

Police got a call about a home invasion at 4:30 a.m. Four people had been shot. Those killed were Maria Hernandez, 48, her son, Antonio Hernandez, 20, and Tomas Madrigal. A fourth person was critically wounded and was taken to an area hospital.

Details about the three male suspects are sketchy: One is described as a light-skinned Hispanic with a stocky build, who was wearing all red. A second was tall and slender, wearing all black. A third wore a dark jacket and red pants.
