The following vehicle crashes were reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. This report includes unofficial fatality reports statewide from the patrol’s radio report database available online at www.mshp.dps.mo.gov.

Friday, June 13

1:05 p.m., Nodaway County. Missouri 112 south of Quitman. A 1996 Saturn, driven by Susan M. Cornett, 46, of Burlington Junction failed to estimate a turn. Cornett went off the roadway, became airborne, and struck an embankment. The vehicle overturned, ejecting Cornett through the driver’s side window. Cornett was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

4:07 p.m., Washington County. Route DD south of Route C. A 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Darlena K. Simmons, 43, of Park Hills crossed over the centerline and struck, head on, a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Tasha Pickett, 23, of Mineral Point. Passenger of Pickett, Deborah K. Pickett, 51, of Mineral Point, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger of Pickett, Laney Drennean, 1, of Mineral Point was wearing a seatbelt. Passengers Tory Pickett, 18, of Mineral Point, and Catherine Reed, 19, of Sullivan were not wearing seatbelts. Simmons and passenger George L. Simmons, 45, of Park Hills were wearing seatbelts.

9:40 p.m., Stoddard County. Route U west of Powe. A 2005 Harley-Davidson driven by James Morin, 60, of Dexter, ran off the roadway, ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead. Morin was wearing a safety device.

Monday, June 16

6:10 a.m., St. Charles County. Southbound U.S. 61 at Route W. A 2003 Chevrolet Impala driven by Donald W. Johnson, 73, of Inver Grove attempted to cross the highway and the front of a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Lisa M. Scott, 30, of Moscow Mills struck Johnson. Johnson was wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at St. John’s Hospital. Passenger Andrea Johnson, 72, of Inver Grove was wearing a seatbelt. Scott was also wearing a seatbelt.

Tuesday, June 17

1:22 a.m., Pulaski County. Texas Road, south of St. Robert. A 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Rawle A. Wilshire, 27, of Fort Leonard ran off the roadway and collided with a tree. Wilshire was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene. Passengers Walter Newell, 21, of Work Haven, and Jonathan R. Pimentel, 21, of Waynesville were not wearing seatbelts. Passenger Josh M. Smith, 24, of St. Robert was wearing a seatbelt.

4:53 a.m., Cooper County. Interstate 70 westbound. A 2007 Peterbilt driven by Steven F. Ruesch, 51, of St. Louis hit Serena A. Layton, 24, of Independence as she attempted to cross the interstate. Layton was pronounced dead at the scene. Ruesch was wearing a seatbelt.

11:35 a.m. Lincoln County. Highway 61 at Tickridge Road. A 2001 Oldsmobile Alero driven by Darrell W. Wright, 26, of Louisiana attempted to avoid a collision with a 2001 Ford Focus driven by Bruce E. Watson, 58, of Elsberry, by swerving off the side of the road. Wright hit the side of Watson’s vehicle and continued to go off the roadway. Wright went airborne, landed on Tickridge road and traveled off the roadway once again. The front of Wright’s vehicle then struck a 1996 Ford Ranger, and then overturned. Passenger of Wright, Mary Hatch, 73, of Louisiana was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at St. John’s Hospital. Passengers of Wright, Jessica Wharton, 20, of Louisiana and Haley Wright, 2, of Louisiana were wearing their seatbelts. Watson and Wright were wearing their seatbelts.

11:08 p.m., Franklin County. Interstate 44 south outer road west of route AH. A 1998 Chevrolet S10 driven by Lori J. Kinney, 45, of Gerald crossed the center lane and struck a 2007 Harley Davidson driven by Robert D. Andrews, 62, of St. Peters. Andrews did not have the option of wearing a safety device and was pronounced dead at the scene. Kinney was not wearing a seatbelt.

1:30 p.m., Texas County, Missouri 17 south of Success. A 2006 Ford driven by Lee A. Ennis, 42 of Houston crossed the center lane and struck, nearly head on, a 1999 Chevrolet driven by Sara B. James, 26, of Mountain View. Ennis was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead. James was wearing a seatbelt.

6:30 p.m., Jefferson County. Southbound Missouri 21 north of Yellow Rock Road. A 1994 Dodge Van driven by Danial L. Patton, 58, of Desoto crossed the center lane and sideswiped a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Henry Deibel, 80 of Potosi. Patton then struck a 1990 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Ronald P. Bieser, 59, of Cadet. Patton rotated as Deibel rotated and crossed the centerline. Bieser ran off the roadway, overturned in a ditch and was partially ejected from the vehicle. Patton was pronounced dead at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Bieser was pronounced dead at the scene. Patton and Bieser were not wearing seatbelts. Deibel was wearing a seatbelt.

Thursday, June 19

2:10 a.m., Greene County. Old Wire Road in Battlefield. A 1995 Infiniti driven by Ivan R. Buchanan, 24, of Battlefield ran off the roadway on a curve and struck a tree. Buchanan was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger Joshua D. Ellis, 23, of Battlefield was not wearing a seatbelt.

11:05 a.m., Ozark County. County Road 154 northeast of Gainesville. A 2002 Ponitac Grand Prix driven by Abigail R. Clayton, 21, of Brimfield, IL. slid out of control on a curve, traveled off the road, struck a ditch and overturned. Clayton was wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene.

3:17 p.m., Clay County, I-35 north of Vivion Road. A 1995 Ford Explorer driven by Juan F. Bravo-Ramos, 26, of Kansas City lost control of the vehicle and drove off the roadway striking a sign, an embankment, and a tree. Bravo-Ramos was wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger Liliana Figuero-Baron, 26, of Kansas City was wearing a seatbelt.

7:45 p.m., Howell County, County Road 1280 north of West Plains. A 1996 Ford Mustang driven by Andrew B. Brinkley, 16, of West Plains ran off the roadway striking a tree. Brinkley was wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene.

8:31 p.m., Boone County. A 1996 Dodge 1500 driven by Eric Rojas-Lopez, 22, of Bethalto, IL. traveled into the path of a 2005 Freightliner driven by Michael W. Wiss, 50, of Laddonia while trying to make a left turn. Unable to stop in time, Wiss ran into Rojas-Lopez. Passenger of Rojas-Lopez, Carlos Ermilo-Nape, 25, of Bethalto was wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene. Passengers of Rojas-Lopez including Jose Dedios-Temich, 24, of Highland, IL., Martin Mejia-Garcia, 17, of Bethalto, Ill., and Jose L. Zerate-Martin, 24 of Bethalto, Ill., were all wearing seatbelts. Rojas-Lopez and Wiss were weaing seatbelts as well.

Friday, June 20

2:14 a.m., Phelps County. Interstate 44 east of St. James. A 2006 Volvo Conventional Tractor driven by Frans P. Sebo, 49, of Phelan, CA., went into the median and back across the roadway, rotating and skidding off the road. The vehicle overturned in a ditch. Sebo was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene.

Saturday, June 21

1:55 a.m., Barry County. Missouri 86 east of Eagle Rock. A 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Eli D. Taylor, 29 of Eagle Rock traveled off the side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned. Taylor was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

3:50 a.m., Adair County. Missouri 6 east of Novinger. A 1999 Chevrolet driven by Drew A. Snyder, 23, of Greencastle drove off of the roadway, struck and embankment, and overturned. Snyder was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger Michael A. Gerlt, 24, of Milan was not wearing a seatbelt.

10:45 p.m., New Madrid County. I-55 north of New Madrid. A 2003 Chevrolet driven by Susan L. Carver, 39, of Chicago, IL., struck Steven A Simelton, 47 in the passing lane. Simelton was pronounced dead at the scene. Carver was wearing a seatbelt.

1:15 p.m., Harrison County. I-35 north of Eagleville.A 2008 Chevrolet driven by Gregory J. Duncan, 50, of Byhalia, Miss., drove off of the roadway, was not wearing a seatbelt and ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Wednesday, June 23

5:50 a.m., Butler County. Highway 53 north of Qulin. A 1997 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Ambrea D. Scott, 19, of Qulin ran off the side of the roadway, struck an embankment, overturned, and ejected onto the roadway. The vehicle caught fire. Scott was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at St. Francis Medical Center.

3:50 p.m., Jasper County. Missouri 96 route BB east of Carthage. A 1994 Pontiac driven by Silvia G. Castanon, 37, of Carthage, slowed to make a left turn and a 2007 Freightliner driven by Betty J. Ray, 59, of Neosho began to pass. As Castanon turned she was hit by Ray. Passenger of Castanon, Enoc, 5, of Carthage was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene. Passengers Adelfi M. Castanon, 3, of Carthage, Edwin J. Vasques, 12 of Carthage, Leslie N. Vasques, 9, of Carthage, and Samuel A. Vazquiez, 13, of Carthage were all wearing seatbelts. It is unknown if Keila R. Vasquez, 7, of Carthage was wearing a seatbelt. Castanon was wearing a seatbelt.
