If your Thanksgiving holiday travel plans will put you on Interstate 70 in western Missouri, expect to see plenty of Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers.
Troop A officers will participate in a 10-Mile Trooper program on Interstate 70, from noon to midnight on Nov. 25, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 29.
The goal is to reduce crashes on I-70.
This goal will be accomplished by having troopers assigned at 10-mile increments along I-70 in the Troop A area strictly enforcing traffic laws and assisting motorists.
As an added enforcement program, Troop A officers will participate in two separate hazardous moving enforcement projects in Henry County. The goal of this operation is to positively impact traffic problems throughout the area by reducing crashes on Missouri's highways.
