Santa Fe Road will be closed between Gudgell Avenue and 27th Street until Aug. 15 to allow for railroad crossing and roadway construction.

The construction is part of the Santa Fe Road street replacement project. The road will become a two-lane street between 23rd Street and 31st Street with new curbs, a storm drainage system and a bicycle/pedestrian path along the east side.

The project also includes adding a lane to provide separate left- and right-turn lanes as the street approaches 23rd Street.

The project will cost $2.99 million and is being funded by Street and Storm Water Sales Tax funds and Water Department funds.
