Independence police are looking for a man they said tried to rob a bank Tuesday morning.
Tom Gentry, spokesperson for police, said officers were called to the US Bank located at 110 U.S. 24, at about 11:25 a.m. Tuesday.
A bank teller said a black male, possibly in his 20s, approximately 5 foot, 7inches, and weighing 170 pounds, demanded money from a teller. Unsuccessful, the man reportedly left the bank.
No one reported seeing the suspect with a weapon, Gentry said. Six photos of the suspect show him during the attempted robbery.
Anyone with any information regarding the attempted robbery, suspect or his whereabouts, please call the TIPS Hotline at 474-TIPS (8477) or the Independence Investigations Division at 816-325-7330.
