The National Frontier Trails Museum will hold an African American Art workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Trails Museum, 318 W. Pacific Ave., Independence.

You’ll be sculpting, painting, creating, and exploring the world of African American Art. Your instructor, Sarah Poff, has taught workshops in Blue Springs and the greater Kansas City area for more than 25 years. She also teaches art in the Blue Springs School District. Mrs. Poff usually comes dressed for the occasion and encourages participants to wear appropriate clothing as some projects are fun, but messy!

The cost is $10 per person and includes museum admission. Reservations are required by 3 p.m. Feb. 3. For more information or to register, call 816-325-7575.
