Independence Police are investigating the disappearance of 16-year-old John J. Scheffler who has not been seen since Jan. 18.
John’s mother said he has run away several times but has always been found a short time later with his friends. To date, none of his friends have reported seeing him since Jan. 18.
John is 5-foot-8, weighs 165 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue flannel hooded jacket and blue jeans.
