Harvesters will be bringing its mobile food pantry to Independence later this month.

The mobile pantry will be at the Fort Osage Church of the Nazarene, 19333 E. U.S. 24, on the third Thursday of each month, beginning Feb. 16. Registration is from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and distribution will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Families must register to ensure they receive food.

The pantry distributes food on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone arriving after distribution has started will not be guaranteed to receive food. However, families can register, leave and then return before distribution ends. No identification is required and there are no income guidelines. The pantry is provided by Harvesters and supported by LINC and the Fort Osage Church of the Nazarene.
