Troop 161 moms serving up chili on Saturday

The Mother’s Club of  Boy Scout Troop 161 will hold its annual Chili and Soup Supper on Saturday.

The supper is a benefit for Troop 161, sponsored by East Alton Community of Christ Church.

Supper is served from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, which is at 23rd Street (Missouri 78) and R.D. Mize Road, across from the former Medical Center of Independence.

The menu includes chili, vegetable beef soup, loaded baked potato, chili dog or hot dog, dessert and drink. Prices are $5 for adults or $15 for a family of four; $3 for  children under age 10.

Carry out is available. A quart of chili or soup to go is $5.
