Scholastic Honors: Valedictorian; named to the Principal’s Honor Roll through high school; member of the Restoration Honor Society; received the Leadership Award, the Liahona Award, the President’s Education Award and the Academic Achievement Award; was named to the National Honor Roll and Who’s Who Among American high School Students and received the USAA National Mathematics Award and the National Science Merit Award.

High school and community activities: Member of the varsity basketball, volleyball and soccer teams; participated in Student Council and volunteered at Camp Win, Sunshine Center and Heritage House; served as an assistant coach for several youth soccer and baseball teams; was co-captain of the varsity basketball and soccer teams and was a teacher aide and middle school tutor.

1 To what do you attribute your academic success?
My family, teachers and friends – they always pushed me to do my best.

2 Who was your biggest influence on your studies?
My parents and teachers.

3 What was your favorite activity in high school? Why?
Sports because it gave me an opportunity to meet new people and to stay in shape.

4 What college do you plan to attend and why?
Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo. on a basketball scholarship.

5 What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
Something in the field of criminal justice.
