American Medical Response in Independence helped a patient from The Groves celebrate Thanksgiving with his family this year.
The AMR ambulance crew transported Philip Lowderman from The Groves Healthcare Facility at 1415 W. White Oak to his family’s home.
In the project, called “Home for the Holiday,” AMR donates roundtrip ambulance service on Thanksgiving Day for a patient. The Groves chose Lowderman earlier this month.
Cam Hendry, Operations Manager for AMR Independence said in a news release, “Anyone who has been away from home during the Thanksgiving Day holiday knows the longing that comes with missing that special time with the family. With this project, AMR helps a few elders go home for that great tradition.”
