Ordinances approved
• Appropriating $22,700 from the fund balance of the 2008 General Fund to cover costs of a new X-ray scanner.
• Appropriating $34,263 from the fund balance of the 2008 Special Road and Bridge Fund to cover costs of 2007 ETAC computer database annual billing.
• Appropriating $1,400 from the fund balance of the 2008 Grant Fund and authorizing a contract with the Missouri Safety Center in acceptance of the Jackson County Sheriff’s You Drink and Drive, You Lose enforcement grant, awarded by the Missouri Safety Center.

• Appropriating $33,260 from the fund balance of the 2008 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund and authorizing the Director of Finance and Purchasing to execute Lease Amendment 4 to the lease with K.C. Partners, LLC, for office space in the Oak Tower Building, for the use and benefit of the Public Defender’s Office, extending the term from July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2015, at a cost not to exceed $1,747,693.
• Authorizing a cooperative agreement with Sarita’Lynne Ministries to co-sponsor the “Hoop it Up in 08” program at a cost not to exceed $500.
Ordinances perfected
• Repealing sections 2060 and 2062 of Jackson County Code, 1984, relating to the payment of residential real property taxes in installments, and enacting, in lieu thereof, two new sections relating to the same subject.
• Appropriating $50,000 from the fund balance of the 2008 Park Fund to cover legal expenses.
• Appropriating $18,194 from the fund balance of the 2008 Grant Fund in acceptance of a grant received from the Office of State Courts Administrator for the Family Court Division’s Domestic Relations Supervised Therapeutic Visitation Program.

• Nominating candidates for appointment to the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority.
• Awarding a 24-month extension term and supply contract with a 24-month extension option for the furnishing of bridge maintenance products for use by the Public Works Department to Carter-Waters LLC of Kansas City, Mo., under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 16-08.
• Authorizing a cooperative agreement with Sarita’Lynne Ministries to co-sponsor the “Hoop it Up in 08” Program, at a cost not to exceed $500.
