Grain Valley, MO —

Hannah’s Heart will host an event from 10 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. Saturday in hopes of raising funds for children with special needs and underprivileged children.

A fashion and talent show will be held at the Onyx Theatre at 1001 S.W. East First Street in Oak Grove. Come and check out the local talent, the next American Idol may be performing. A silent auction will be held with many wonderful items to bid for, including donated sports memorabilia from the Chiefs and the Royals. You will not want to miss this.

Sheree Foster has dedicated her life to helping children. She is a mother of three children and served as a foster parent in several situations throughout the years. Being a mother simply was not fulfilling her desire to help children who are truly in need, not only physically but mentally as well.

College-educated Foster worked in child care for many years, eventually becoming the owner of her own day care center in Grain Valley. Special needs children have found a way into her heart, and she considers what others may view as a disability as being what actually makes that child extraordinary.

Last year Foster opened the door to Hannah’s Heart Art and Resource Center on Main Street just a few doors north of the Bank of Grain Valley. It is a non-profit organization open to the Grain Valley and surrounding community.

The facility has a multitude of programs available to children of all ages and mentality levels.

Programs range from music, and voice lessons to personal or group tutoring, art classes, and four-day art camps held throughout the summer. Computer classes for adults are also available.

It is not too late to get involved with this fundraising event by becoming a sponsor, or simply attending the fashion/talent show and making a financial contribution or bidding on the wonderful silent auction items.

Contact Sheree or Randy for more information at 816-847-2107.
