Eastern Jackson County, MO —
Several area school districts have canceled classes for Friday.
These include the Fort Osage, Blue Springs, Independence, Raytown, Grain Valley and Oak Grove school districts.
In addition, St. John LaLande Catholic Church and St. Robert Bellarmine in Blue Springs have canceled all evening activities and St. Mark's Catholic Church and Noland Road Baptist Church in Independence are closed Thursday.
