A 40-year-old Independence man died in a car wreck Sunday afternoon.
Police say it happened at 3:10 p.m. The driver was headed east on Blue Ridge Boulevard near Hardy. The car went off the road and struck a tree. The driver was the only person in the car.
Independence police say the man's name will be released Monday.
