Christopher Bobal, a teacher at Lee’s Summit High School, is one of 11 middle and high school teachers and Holocaust Center personnel from nine states participating in The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous’ 2012 European Study Program in Germany and Poland.
The program is a high-level, intensive educational experience that includes visit to concentration camps, ghetto sites and Holocaust memorials. Through the visits and lectures, these educators will gain a deeper understanding of the complex and tragic history of the Holocaust.
The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous, created in 1986, provides financial assistance to non-Jews who risked their lives and the lives of their families to rescue Jews during the Holocaust. Today, the JFR supports more than 750 aged and needy rescuers in 22 countries.
