Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders will highlight efforts of county employees during the 19th Annual Public Employees Recognition Day ceremony at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Little Theatre inside Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City.
Awards are being presented to county employees in 11 different categories. All award winners were nominated by their peers. The event coincides with Public Service Recognition Week, which honors local, state and federal government employees.
