The Fire Department will recognize employees for recent lifesaving efforts. The Beautification Commission also plans to present awards for beautification efforts across Independence.
For staff reports, the Community Development Department will speak about the city’s new integrated transit system, which goes live on July 2. The Fire Department also will give a report on fireworks safety, with the July 4 holiday quickly approaching.
The study session begins at 6 p.m. inside the council chambers at City Hall, 111 E. Maple Ave.
