The Jackson County court administrator is on leave as an investigation into concerns about court funds continues.

The 16th Judicial Court, which serves Jackson County, issued a brief, four-sentence statement Friday saying judges had learned of "concerns regarding the expenditure of court funds" and have brought "outside professionals" to investigate. A court spokesperson would not go beyond the statement and could not say how long the investigation is expected to take.

The statement says Court Administrator Teresa York has been on leave since June 4.
