The National Weather Service allowed the extreme heat warning for the Kansas City area expire at 7 this evening. The warning had been up for the second half of the week,

It will still be hot, with a high of 98 Sunday and highs in the high 90s for the upcoming week. There's even a slight chance of rain overnight, but that's more likely in niorthern Missouri. Around sundown in Buchanan County -- the St. Joseph area -- the Weather Service had reports of storrms that brought quarter-sized hail.

The "sky cast" for Sundaty is yellow, meaning ground-level ozone conditions are moderate.

The Mid-America Regional Council posts the skycast at www.marc.org
