A water main break has closed the east and westbound lanes of 23rd Street (Missouri 78) between Hocker and Leslie avenues, east of Noland Road in Independence.
While the break itself has been repaired, the stretch of 23rd Street remains closed through Sunday for placement of the asphalt.
