The Independence Regional Ennovation Center will soon have another tenant, this time in a lab setting, with the promise of creating local jobs.

Androjek, a company that provides screening and diagnostics for male human and animal infertility, plans to move its corporate headquarters to the center in early 2012. The company, founded three years ago, is moving here from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The company says it eventually plans to hire 18 new employees. Among other things, the Ennovation Center – converted from the old Independence Regional Medical Center – has biotech incubator space. Old surgical suites on the second floor have been altered for biotech firms. Androjek is first such tenant.
