Although it’s cloudy and National Weather Service radar at mid-morning indicated a line of possible rain from Springfield, Mo., northwest to Manhattan, Kan., and reaching into the Kansas side of the metro area, the Weather Service sees just a slight chance of rain today.
The Weather Service sees a slight chance -- 20 percent -- of showers before 4 p.m. High near 84. Light breeze out of the south southwest. Partly cloudy tonight. Low of 67 and no rain.
Wednesday brings a one-day return of the heat: high of 96, sunny, and gusty winds out of the south.
On Thursday, there’s a much better chance of rain. There’s a high of 84. The southwest breeze will shift to the north, and the chance of rain is 50 percent. There could be a thunderstorm or two. Overnight low of 62.
It’s mild and clear after that: Friday 78/58, Saturday 79/60, Sunday 82/60. No rain.
