The Jackson County Charter Review Task Force holds its final meeting at 10 a.m. Monday in the legislative area downstairs at the Courthouse Annex, 308 W. Kansas Ave., Independence.

The task force has until Aug. 6 to make recommended County Charter changes to the County Legislature, which could then vote to place those changes on the November ballot. The task force has met for weeks and held two hearings, looking at term limits, campaign contribution limits and the order in which candidates’ names appear on the ballot. However, the task force has indicated it will make no recommendations.
