Three area students recently attended a one-day summer orientation program at Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo.
Incoming Truman students and their parents attending summer orientation were able to enroll in classes and visit with currently enrolled students as well as Truman faculty and staff about transitioning to college life. The goal of the program is to welcome and introduce all first-year students and their families to Truman State University. Students that attended were - Ryan Nash, Independence; Ali Patterson, Lee’s Summit and Logan Summers, Blue Springs.
Founded in 1867, Truman State is Missouri’s only highly selective public liberal arts and sciences university. U.S. News and World Report’s 2012 edition of “Best Colleges” ranked Truman as the No. 1 public university in the Midwest region for the 15th consecutive year.
