Three community leaders involved in efforts to revitalize western Independence received the top awards Saturday evening during the 92nd annual Independence Chamber of Commerce banquet.
Donna Pittman, owner of Curt's Famous Meats, received the Distinguished Board Member Award. The Distinguished Service Award went to Stacie Short with the Englewood Business Association.
Maywood Baptist Church Pastor Bob Spradling received the Distinguished Citizen Award.
