A pastor is accused of peeping into the bathroom window of a woman around the time she was taking a shower.

Platte County prosecutor Eric Zahnd says 39-year-old Kelvin B. Lambert was charged today with trespassing and attempted invasion of privacy.

Zahnd says Lambert was taken into custody Tuesday after a witness saw him standing on a plastic lawn chair and looking into a bathroom window in Platte City, where he is pastor at Second Baptist Church. Deputies were called to the Timber Park neighborhood around 6:20 a.m. Tuesday after someone saw a man running between houses.

The prosecutor's office said today it wasn't clear whether Lambert had obtained an attorney. He did not immediately return a phone message left on his home phone.
