The National Weather Service warns of a growing danger of wildfires for a few days.
In an advisory posted this morning, the Weather Service says the exceedingly dry conditions combined with gusty winds and highs in the 80s today and low to mid-90s Tuesday and Wednesday create a “very high wildfire danger threat ... Tuesday and Wednesday.”
The Weather Service notes that burn bans are in effect in many places and advises people to be extremely cautious with cigarettes, matches, barbecue pits and any source of sparks or open flames.
