Mid-Continent Public Library is now offering free online, instructor-led classes and software video tutorial classes.
In partnership with online learning partners ed2go and Atomic Training, the classes are available from home, work or the library, with a MCPL card.
ed2go courses last for six weeks, and new sessions begin every month. Sample courses include Start and Operate Your Own Home-Based Business; Grammar for ESL; Writing Essentials; Secrets of Better Photography; and Introduction to Guitar.
Atomic Training contains short videos that can be watching in sequence like a course or watched individually to learn a specific part of a software application. Sample courses include Microsoft Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010 and Adobe Photoshop CS5.
