The National Weather Service says there's a heightened risk of wildfires this afternoon.

Sunny skies are expected with a high near 78 and a light wind out of the south-southwest that will build to 25 mph this afternoon. Combined with the continued dry conditions, the fire risk is elevated, and everyone is asked to be extremely careful with matches, cigarettes, outdoor grills and barbecue pits and any open source of flame.
