The Central Hockey League announced that Missouri Mavericks forward Sebastien Thinel was named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for last week.

Thinel helped his team to points in all three of their games last week scoring four goals with five assists to go along with a plus-2 plus/minus rating. The St. Jerome, Quebec native’s least productive game of the week came on Wednesday in a 4-3 overtime loss in Quad City where he contributed an assist. In his other two games, Thinel had two goals and two assists in each contest, including two goals and an assist in the third period of the Mavericks’ come-from-behind 5-4 overtime loss in Wichita and the game-winning shorthanded goal in a 5-3 win over Tulsa on Saturday.

Thinel, with 15 goals and a league-leading 35 assists, is the first CHL player this season to hit 50 points. The two-time CHL scoring champion leads the league in scoring and is tied for third with his plus-16 plus/minus rating.
