The Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation hosted the 14th annual Taste of Lee’s Summit March 2 to raise money in support of excellence in education in the Lee’s Summit School District community. Held at The Pavilion at John Knox Village, the event raised an estimated $100,000.
The popular, sold-out event included both live and silent auctions, a Grand Prize Board, a Dine-Around Game and an opportunity to help provide Google Chromebooks for classrooms through the Fund-A-Cause portion of the evening. More than 550 guests also had the opportunity to sample cuisine from the following businesses - Central States Beverage, Costa Vida, Edible Arrangements, Hy-Vee, J. Bean’s, McAlister’s Deli, Monetti’s A Taste of Italy, Neighborhood Cafe, On the Border, Outback Steakhouse, Poppy’s Ice Cream, Summit Grill and Bar, The Fig Tree and Waldo Pizza.
A number of area organizations also generously helped sponsor Taste of Lee’s Summit, including annual Friends of the Foundation Sponsors at five different participation levels.
