Registration is still open for the second annual free Independence Park Trot in early May.
The 5K run/walk is scheduled for May 4 at Waterfall Park, south of Bass Pro Shops. Packet pickup will begin the afternoon of May 3.
The certified 5K event is part of the Building A Healthier Independence initiative. Visit www.independenceparktrot.com to register.
