The MCC-Longview New View Job Fair is a great location for job seekers to visit with recruiters and companies about job placement.
The event is from 2 to 6 p.m. March 6 at the Longview Recreation Center, 3801 S.W. Longview Road in Lee’s Summit.
Recruiters from numerous companies around the Kansas City area will be attending. Full-time, part-time, internships and volunteer opportunities are available.
Pre-registration for this event is available at www.mcckc.edu/jobfairs, or individuals can register on-site. There will be a prize drawing at 3 p.m. for those who pre-register. But individuals have to be present to win.
The job fair website also offers helpful tips for job seekers. “Be prepared” is good advice for any situation and can be helpful when looking for a job. Do some Internet research on the companies at the job fair in advance (a list is provided on the website) or walk around the fair and note the organizations that are of interest.
In addition, have a “one minute infomercial” ready for introductions.
