Kansas City police say they're investigating the death of a woman who was shot and killed during an apparent road rage incident.
Police say the woman was driving Wednesday during rush hour in midtown Kansas City when another car pulled up beside her and shots were fired into her car. Police on Thursday identified the victim as 32-year-old Jennifer Jones of Kansas City. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say another woman was driving the suspect vehicle, which is described as a maroon SUV with tinted windows and no tags.
The death was the seventh homicide in Kansas City since Monday and the third on Wednesday.
