Laura Marie Reek, 44, of Independence, Mo., passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, after a long illness.
Laura was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery Morrow Reek.
Her survivors include her children, sons, Jonathon, Joshua and Justin, and daughter, Kayla Forsythe; her father, Walter John and Bonita Reek of Independence; her mother, Janice Reek of Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, John Marvin and Karen Reek of Edgerton, Kan., and David Welchert of North Kansas City; sister, Susan Greathouse of Florida; and three grandchildren, Mariah Avamarie, Josh Daniel James and Kelsey Marie.
A Celebration of Laura’s Life will be held between 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at her dad’s home. Call 816-305-7628 for directions.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted for her minor child and may be sent to Metcalf Bank, in care of Josh Johnson, 11206 E. U.S. 24, Sugar Creek, MO 64054.
