Klydel Miller, 80, of Independence, Mo., went to live with his heavenly father on Oct. 29, 2009.

Klydel owned Staf-o-Life Health and Diet in Independence for nearly 50 years. He devoted his life to helping others.

Klydel was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Aug. 23, 1929. He graduated from Center High School in Kansas City. He was an Army medic and served in the Korean War. He was a priest in the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ and a faithful member of the Blue Springs congregation. He was also a longstanding member of the Rotary Club and was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Herman and Florence Miller; a brother, Floyd Miller, and a sister Aletha Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou. Last May they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Other survivors include a son, Evan Miller, of Ridgefield, CT, his wife, Sarah, and their children Aaron and Audra; a daughter, Gayle Blanchard, of Independence, her husband, Scott, and their children, Katelyn, Nicole, Mikayla and Connor; two sisters, Carol Attebury and Gloria Daniels, and a brother, Gordon Miller, all of Kansas City.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ, 5555 Valley View Dr., Blue Springs, Mo. Visitation 6 p.m.

He will be deeply missed by his family, customers and friends.
