John Perkins, 85, of Independence, Mo., passed away November 5, 2009, at Maywood Terrace Living Center. A visitation will take place from 9-10:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, Mo. Burial at Brooking Cemetery. John was born March 1, 1924 in Columbia, Mo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Edith Perkins; son, Johnny William Perkins, Jr.; and daughter, Donna Perkins. John is survived by one daughter, Deana Perkins; two sons, Dean and Jerry Perkins; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. (Arrangements: Carson-Speaks Chapel 816-252-7900)
