Daniel E. Miller Sr., 72, left this world for a better place on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, after a five year battle with cancer.
He was born October 4, 1939, to Walter E. and Mary Louis (Weldele) Miller in Webster Groves, Mo. Dan graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1957 and attended CMSU in Warrensburg, Mo. He retired from Lucent/Alcatel Technologies in 1994 as a chemical analyst. He married Carolyn Annette Creel on December 1, 1962 and they have two sons, Daniel Jr. and Jason.
Dan was an avid reader, loved fishing, and the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren, Ian, Dylan, Maegan, Matthew, Jacob, and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife; sons, Daniel (Suzanne) and Jason (Virginia); brothers, Ronald (Judy), and Michael (Janet); and step-grandchildren, April, Bryan, and Michael; and many friends.
He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him. At his request, his body will be cremated and a private family gathering will be held.
