Clifford Nolan Cross, 91, of Independence, Mo., was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Centerpoint Medical Center.
Cliff was born Sept. 26, 1917, in St. Clair County, MO to Richard Hezikiah and Cora Zenobia (Garrison) Cross. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1974 after 35 years of dedicated service.  For many years, Cliff served as deacon at The Stone Church, Community of Christ.
Mr. Cross is survived by his wife Billie (Taylor) Morgan Cross; daughter Judith Jones and husband William; granddaughter  Dr. Kathryn Jones and husband Dr. Brian Washburn; three sisters Edna Finscher, Ada Preston and Eva Krie. Mr. Cross was preceded in death by his first wife Kathryn (Gunn) Cross in 2001; five brothers, Floyd, Jackson, Durward, Murl and Tom Cross; and by three sisters, Lelah Jennings, Lucy Chaney, and Phyrne Enderle. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009 at Carson Speaks Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with inurnment in Mound Grove Cemetery.
