Russell D. Hammett, 70, Independence, Mo., passed away June 25, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Kansas City.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Committal services with full military honors will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Lung Association.
