David B. Harris, 49, of Hartsel, Colo., passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Independence, Mo., surrounded by family and friends.
David was born February 27, 1963, in Blytheville, Ark., the son of Hilson and Pat (Hardy) Harris. He was a Union Laborer of Local 264 for 13 years. David loved his family and his Mom’s cooking. He was an avid hunter and sports fan and loved the outdoors. David was a member of Bethany Church of the Brethern in Stet, Mo.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Jennifer Harris; and daughter, Rachelle, of the home, son, Zachary Bartolich of Kansas City, Mo., daughter, Alexandria St. John and husband, Zac, of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; one sister, Lori Haugmo and husband, Jim, and children, Blake and Logan of Independence, Mo.; one brother, Wes Harris and wife, Missy, and children, Cal and Chloe of Independence, Mo.
Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Friday, June 29, at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Caring House, 2625 Pickett Road, Durham, N.C. 27705.
