Kathleen Ann Poore, 61, of Independence, Mo., passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

On March 11, 1951, Kathleen Ann Benson was born to Byron Benson and Helen Stallbories of Independence, Mo. She had eight siblings. She worked for the Ford Motor Company for 25 years.  Kathleen was passionate about her work, children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Shane Poore; and one brother.

Kathleen is survived by her three loving children, Shelly, Tiffany and Shad Poore; three grandchildren, Santina, Jordan and Taylor Poore; as well as seven brothers and sisters. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice.
