Coleburn Flowers, 66, of Independence, Mo., passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012.

 Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at McGilley Antioch Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

 Coleburn was born July 31, 1946, in Hannibal, Mo. He graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1963. He was an owner/operator of a truck for Werner Trucking. He also worked for Munson Monument Company and Johnson Granite. He was a newspaper route courier for the Kansas City Star from 2005-2009. Coleburn just recently celebrated his 48th wedding anniversary with his wife, Joette, in September. Coleburn was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Thresa Flowers.

 Survivors include his wife, Joette Flowers; children, Kenneth Flowers and wife, Julie, Tina Hilton and husband, William, Gary Flowers and wife, Paola, and Tracy Spoor and husband, John; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Delores Jean Flowers.
