David A. Nickerson, 56, of Independence, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in the comfort of his home. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Eden Heights RLDS Congregation 1301 E. Sea, where friends may call after 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to a memorial fund in care of the family.
David was born March 11, 1953, in San Antonio Texas to Charles and Lu (Smith) Nickerson. He was a police officer for the Buckner and Independence Police Departments and then for 18 years worked and retired as a deputy from the Jackson County Circuit Court. He also worked for the Independence School District Transportation Dept. He is survived by his wife Kim Nickerson, two sons: Robert L. Baber III and Chad Baber, three daughters Tamara Kirk, Christy Molby and Jessica Baber and eleven grandchildren with one more on the way. He is also survived by his mother Lu Nickerson, two brothers Dennis Nickerson, Corky Nickerson and one sister Lori Chapman. (Arr. Marts Memorial Services).
