Joshua “J.J.” Andrew Turner Jr., 3, of Independence, Mo., passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012.
Josh was born January 19, 2009, in Independence, Mo., to Joshua Andrew Turner and Dawn Marie (Rhodus) Turner. He was a loving child with a wonderful smile. He loved monkeys and trips to the park. Josh was also a loving brother and teacher to his younger brother, Shawn, who looked up to him. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Julia Borjon and Frank Sanchez; along with his paternal uncle.
Josh is survived by his loving parents, Josh and Dawn Turner; brother, Shawn Patrick Turner; paternal grandpa, Ken Turner; maternal grandparents, Tom and Juanita Rhodus; paternal grandparents, Harry and Bonnie Sher; aunt and uncle, Meredith and Paul Duckworth; and a host of great-uncles, aunts and cousins. J.J. will be dearly missed.
A visitation will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, followed by a service at 10 a.m., at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, Mo. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
