Michael Larry Owen, 47, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Monday, May 14, 2012, in Kansas City, Mo.

Mike was born June 11, 1964, in Centerville, Iowa. He was a 1982 graduate of Blue Springs High School and worked as a carpenter and jack-of-all-trades in the construction industry for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Helen Owen.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Lorie Owen; children, Michael Lamb, Sarah Kram and her husband, Joel, Andrew Owen and Amanda Owen; grandchildren, Jaxson Kram and Rayne Lamb; sisters, Michelle Owen and Malinda Liles and her husband, Darrin; many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Heart of God Fellowship Church, 3720 N. Buckner-Tarsney Road, Buckner, MO. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to services. He will be laid to rest in Swan Lake Memorial Park, Grain Valley, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to help with arrangements.
